3. Josiah² Badcock (William¹) (#70) was born in Wolborough, Devon 29 DEC 1838.⁽⁵⁷¹⁾ Josiah died 3 NOV 1905 in Exeter, Devon, at 66 years of age.

He married Emily Elliott in Highweek, Devon., 10 APR 1875.⁽⁵⁷²⁾ (Emily Elliott is #71.) Emily was born in Hele, Highweek, Devon 26 JAN 1852.⁽⁵⁷³⁾ Emily⁽⁵⁷⁴⁾ was the daughter of Joseph Elliott and Charlotte Warren. Emily died 24 JAN 1949 in Poole, Dorset, at 96 years of age.

Josiah's occupation: Accountant. He became Helena Ada Badcock's adoptive father.⁽⁵⁷⁵⁾ At 31 years of age Josiah became the father of Helena Ada Badcock 29 MAY 1870. At 33 years of age Josiah became the father of Blanche Evelyn Badcock 1872. At 35 years of age Josiah became the father of Marrianne Emily Badcock 06 MAY 1874. At 39 years of age Josiah became the father of Josiah Badcock in Exeter, Devon, 1878.⁽⁵⁷⁶⁾ At 42 years of age Josiah became the father of Florence Lilian Elliot Badcock in St Thomas, Devon, 4 APR 1881.⁽⁵⁷⁷⁾ Occupation: General Merchant 1881.⁽⁵⁷⁸⁾ He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census St Davids, Exeter, Devon.⁽⁵⁷⁹⁾ Occupation: Accountant 1901.

Josiah Badcock and Emily Elliott had the following children:

• 4 i. Helena Ada³ Badcock (#124) was born 29 MAY 1870. Helena died 21 JAN 1959 at 88 years of age. She married Dacombe. ( Dacombe is #125.)

  Helena was adopted.⁽⁵⁸⁰⁾

• 5 ii. Blanche Evelyn Badcock (#491) was born 1872.

• 6 iii. Marrianne Emily Badcock (#73) was born 06 MAY 1874. Marrianne died 17 MAR 1958 at 83 years of age. She married Percy Rowell. (Percy Rowell is #75.)

• 7 iv. Josiah Badcock⁽⁵⁸¹⁾ (#112) was born in Exeter, Devon 1878.⁽⁵⁸²⁾ He was the informant for Josiah Badcock's death in Exeter, Devon, 3 NOV 1905. He was a witness at Captain James Pinkham and Florence Lilian Elliot Badcock's wedding in Liverpool, Lancashire, 18 NOV 1911.⁽⁵⁸³⁾

• 8 v. Florence Lilian Elliot Badcock⁽⁵⁸⁴⁾ (#39) was born in St Thomas, Devon 4 APR 1881.⁽⁵⁸⁵⁾ Lilian died 17 JUN 1948 in Brighton, Sussex, at 67 years of age.⁽⁵⁸⁶⁾ She married Captain James Pinkham in Liverpool, Lancashire, 18 NOV 1911.⁽⁵⁸⁷⁾ (Captain James Pinkham is #38.) James was born in Stokeinteignhead, Devon 6 MAY 1857.⁽⁵⁸⁸⁾ James was the son of Captain William Pinkham and Mary Ann Waymouth. James died 1 FEB 1924 in Poole, Dorset, at 66 years of age.⁽⁵⁸⁹⁾ (See Captain James Pinkham for the continuation of this line.)

  Lilian's occupation: Nurse.⁽⁵⁹⁰⁾ At 24 years of age Lilian became the mother of James Pinkham in Jersey, Channel Islands, 29 JAN 1906.⁽⁵⁹¹⁾
