At 30 years of age William became the father of Josiah Badcock in Wolborough, Devon, 29 DEC 1838.⁽⁵⁷⁰⁾ He resided in Wolborough, Devon 1851, Bridge Street.

William Badcock and Mary Ann Elliott had the following children:
